Course Objectives

Our course objectives are very modest, but our expectations for our students who work hard are very high.

Simply stated our course objectives are:

1. To enable the student to design, build and manage professional websites.

The student will build 2 websites. The first website will be a working portfolio to demonstrate the skills of the student. The second website will be for a real client, a local business or non-profit (of the student’s choosing).

2. To understand the various roles required in the creation and development of a website

This course has a goal to allow all who have a desire to learn to succeed. Our goal is to give our students enough knowledge to become valued in the workplace, so that employers can see the potential you have to succeed and grow as a professional.

It is not our expectation, nor should it be our students, to immediately make you the “expert”. It takes time and effort to become truly great at almost anything. The web is no exception. We just want to get you in the door by arming you with what it takes to make you competitive at the entry level.
